Early Care Foundation (ECF) in partnership with Development Bank of Sothern Africa (DBSA) hosted the "Leadership Practices & Insights: ECD Centre Perspectives" event on September 4th, 2024, in Sandton, Gauteng. The event highlighted the vital role of leadership within Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres, particularly in underserved communities. Key stakeholders, including ECD centre owners, government representatives, and researchers, discussed the sector's evolution, focusing on the challenges and opportunities brought by the shift from the Department of Social Development to the Department of Basic Education. The event concluded with a networking lunch, fostering further collaboration to support the growth and development of the ECD sector.
