TOC is informed by the following core beliefs:
- There is a need for an adult-oriented learning process where adults have access and take ownership of their development of skills and knowledge.
- ECD should be formalised and professionalised to ensure the recognition necessary in the sector as a crucial contributor to child and societal development.
- Access to a support network is critical in the delivery of quality ECD programmes.
